Star Local Media’s Readers’ Choice Awards are Underway

Star Local Media is a media company comprising of 14 community newspapers and websites serving suburban North Texas including the Allen American, Lewisville Leader, Plano Star-Courier, and The Colony-Courier, among several others.

Every year Star Local has an annual readers’ choice awards which allows readers to nominate and then afterwards vote for their favorite businesses to be honored in a special congratulatory section in January papers.

The awards are organized by publication so that each community has the opportunity to recognize outstanding businesses in their area.  Three to five nominated businesses in each category will be included on the final multiple choice ballot, which will be run through December.

Huffines and The D.H.B.A.

Thursday, November 14th was the Dallas Home Builders Association’s Spike Night.  Several Home Builders attended the event.  Chevy’s Commercial Truck Tour was also on location showcasing the hardworking Chevrolet Trucks.
Huffines Chevrolet fleet managers from the Lewisville and Plano locations were in attendance answering questions and enjoying the fun.  Several officials from General Managers were also present.

The president of the Dallas Home Builders Association introduced several Board Members and door prizes were given out to some of the lucky hard-working home builders.

Chevy Commercial Truck Tour

Huffines Chevrolet and Chevy Commercial were at Lowe’s on November 13th for the Chevy Commercial Truck Tour.
The fleet managers from Huffines Chevrolet-Lewisville were attending the event from 7am to 2pm showing off all the awesome features and work capabilities of the Chevy Commercial truck, but the party didn’t end there.  The tour continued at the Huffines Chevrolet dealership from 4pm-6pm with test drives so everyone could get a good feel of all the benefits of the Chevy Commercial truck.
Chevy Commercial gave out work gloves to customers who registered.  The tour will continue at the Dallas Home Builders’ Spike Night event on Thursday, November 14th.

Dallas Morning News Names Huffines one of the Top 100 Places to Work

The Dallas Morning News recently released the list of the “Top 100 Places to Work” in the DFW Metroplex for 2013, and for the third straight year, Huffines makes it onto the coveted list, and ranking inside of the “Sweet Sixteen.”

Huffines Wins the City Championship… but Which One?

This past Saturday, November 2nd, was a BIG day for Huffines Auto Dealerships of Lewisville.  It was “The Battle of the Huffines: The Final Battle”.

The Huffines Chevy Longhorns squared off against the Huffines Dodge Colts in the Lewisville Flower Mound Football Association 9-10 years old City Championship Game.  The Huffines Dodge Colts suffered their only loss of the year to the Huffines Chevy Longhorns earlier in the season.

It was hard fought, but the Huffines Chevy Longhorns again managed to “Hook” the Colts and walk away with the victory and yet another City Championship!  Chevy Hometown Kids TV was on site and filmed the game and interviewed some of the Chevy Longhorns players and Fred Whitfield, Business Relations Manager for Huffines Auto Dealerships.
Stone Eby was awarded the “Player of the Game” honors.  Raising Canes Chicken of Lewisville sponored lunch after the game for all the players.

The Champion Longhorns have a Bowl Game around the corner, followed by the All-Star Game in the next couple of weeks.
It was a excellent season and Huffines Chevrolet Lewisville couldn’t be more proud of this terrific group of football players and cheerleaders!

Huffines and Operation Kindness

Huffines Chevrolet Lewisville supported the 2nd Annual Operation Kindness, “Paws on the Green 2013” golf tournament held at Indian Creek Golf Club in Carollton, Texas on Saturday, November, 2nd 2013.
Huffines sponsored the Hole N One challenge with a brand new 2013 Chevy Cruze as the main prize.  All par 3’s were also sponsored by Huffines.
Operation Kindness provides a safe haven for Dogs and Cats, and there is an adoption program available for those who would like to adopt and give a pet a “forever home.”  The Huffines’ Team, Scott Spiegel, Steve Klose, Louis Osuna and Hilton Land won 2nd Place in the tournament.  Scott also won the “Closest to the Pin” award on a beautiful 180 yard shot.

Huffines Supports the Carollton Senior Center

Halloween 2013 was a fun night for many people in the community, but we can guarantee no one had more fun than folks at The Carollton Senior Center.  The Carollton Senior Center had their October-fest dress-up Senior Dance and it was quite a night!
Many wonderful costumes were proudly displayed ranging from Police, Doctors, Nurses, Clowns, Rock Stars, Zorro, Superman, and a curly-haired take on Elvis.  One couple dressed as a bee and bee-catcher which was a big hit at the party.

Huffines Auto Dealerships of Lewisville gave away door prizes for the 3 Best Dress-Up Seniors and we hope everyone had as good of a Halloween Night as we did!
