Every Parents Dream

As a parent of a teenage driver, I believe teenagers need some privacy and space, sort of.  Okay I admit, I don't believe they should have privacy at all.  If you are under my roof, using technology I bought you and pay for every month, I am going to know what is going on.  But that's a discussion for another time.  Whether you are like me and consider yourself a “hoverer” or you think your teen should make all of their own decisions and give them all the privacy in the world, I think we could all agree that teenagers don't make the best decisions and when it comes to their safety, we should all be a “hoverer.”  Introducing your best friend, the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu, and your teenager’s worst nightmare.

Whenever the teenager’s key is engaged it alerts the Malibu that the teen is driving and will start downloading data as if they were on the nations Terror watch list.  When the teen returns the parents can hop in and pull up all kinds of interesting information. It will tell you the maximum speed the car was driven and distance driven.  It will sound alarms when the driver tops the speed limit.  It will count how many times the safety features including stability control and forward collision alert systems are activated.  This is a biggy for me.  My child comes driving down the road and you can hear the stereo long before you even catch a glimpse of her vehicle.  Talk about a safety hazard.  A ferry boat could be blowing their air horn at her and she would never hear it.  This beauty allows you to set a volume limit on the stereo.  How awesome is that.  Also when the teenager is driving the stereo won't even turn on if the seat belts aren’t on.  Genius right. Of course there are also a host of safety features including 10 airbags, park assist, blind spot monitoring, and many more to help you sleep at night.

What other features does it have to protect your kids?  Find out today at Huffines Chevrolet Lewisville 1400 South Stemmons Fwy Lewisville, TX or give us a call at 972-538-7000 today!
